Reminder that TOG servers will NOT update to 1.3 immediately

Tonight (Aussie time) Mojang will update Minecraft to 1.3. However the TOG servers will not be updated until we can be sure that a sufficient number of our mods and plugins have been updated. This may take 1-4 weeks (as usual).

Players are advised to backup their 1.2.5 client just to play it safe, or use a Minecraft profile tool. For an explanation on how to do that, see Minecrafting 101 - Running 2 versions . Another option is to use MCNostalgia .

The TOGlympics next weekend will be conducted using MC 1.2.5.

Good idea to backup your current minecraft folder today with all your mods, textures etc.

Then you will have a permanent copy of 1.2.5

A Bukkit 1.3.1 RB has been released. This RB is a rather rushed, not-fully-tested one that they are releasing for the impatient people. It will also help plugin developers test their stuff.

To quote EvilSeph:

The first Recommended Build, as always, is a slightly more polished development build that we're promoting to a Recommended Build so that people who rely on a Recommended Build being available can try out our development builds and decide if they want to use them.
