Minecraft on Windows 8?

Has anyone run Minecraft on Windows 8 and if so, does it run okay? I'm aware of the whole certification debate, but was more interested in if it actually works, certification aside.

I'm picking up an inexpensive laptop for one of my boys and Win8 is quickly becoming the only choice out there.

I hadn't tried, but I just did now. And it worked.
Can't say how MP is though, as somehow it decided to upgrade itself, so I'm now on 1.4.5, and can't join the Frontier server.

I'm running on Windows 8 Professional 64 bit right now. Minecraft works just fine, both single and multi-player.

I think I'll pick the a laptop up and experiment a bit pre-xmas.
