It seems that Mojang have updated Minecraft again. It is now up to 1.4.6 (Minecraft 1.4.6 is out!
This is lovely for single players but it is a continual problem for servers as we rely on mods like Bukkit to make the game manageable. Bukkit has been having trouble keeping up with all the updates from Mojang. As a result, they have only been able to release Beta versions of up-to-date Bukkit, not Recommended Builds. Some plugins that use Bukkit wait for the RBs before they update. Some will update on Betas. So what about us?
We are still waiting for enough to be up-to-date and working. We had a test run last week, but now there is the 1.4.6 update. Hoo hum.
So our attention has been on the Feed The Beast world that is temporarily replacing Sanctuary. That is a Beta version too. It is not perfect. It is missing a lot of things we need for it to be permanent but we are still looking for fixes/more mods. So for now, it is temporary across Xmas and the New Year. It might become permanent, but no promises yet.
And we are still going to update Frontier, when things are tested and worked out.
In the meantime, enjoy Minecraft in whatever form you like
- Frontier on
- FeedTheBeast on its own client
- 1.4.6 for single player
- XBOX360 Update 7
- Pocket edition version who knows what
