They are all IC2 machines. So far people have had to shutdown rotary macerators, centrifuge extractor, an extractor and a recycler. However, I am yet to find anything saying it is specific to the machines.

Since it is an energy problem it may have more to do with the energy source and power, the machine and the chunk the block is in. It is sounding like a bug or problem with IC2. The mod developers have been told about it for a month at least but updating doesn't necessarily fix it. I am yet to find clear instructions on how a player can minimise the chances of it happening.

didn't implement demandsEnergy() properly, no energy from injectEnergy accepted although demandsEnergy()

sounds like energy problem to me

I'd say it's an energy problem.... Earlier we had the rotary macerator problem, Skovilles and Deweys were running and didn't seem to be causing the problem (when they were turned off the problem didn't stop), but when Cnafe turned his off, that's when the server stopped complaining.

Default Quarrying on hold outside of Mindcrack Overworld

The Admin team is considering a number of issues relating to quarrying/automated digging to bedrock on dimensions other than the Overworld. As a result:

Quote:
Until otherwise notified, players are not use automated digging machines like quarries in the Myst dimensions, the Nether and the Twilight World.
You can still use them on the Overworld provided you follow the rules in the Code of Conduct. Digging with handheld tools is still allowed on those other dimensions.

Thank you,

If this is only a problem with advanced machines, there are three of them according to this post:
[Addon 1.112] Advanced Machines 4.7 - Pending Addons - IC² Forum

Rotary macerator, centrifuge extractor and singularity compressor. Likely, other machines shouldn't create this problem. And it's not like you need those machines anyway, as far as I know they only reduce power consumption a bit.

According to the IC2 bug tracking, the updated versions of IC2 fix this problem. However, updating the server config itself may not necessarily address the issue as there is conversation indicating the updated version is not included in the latest FTB back.

Default Best use for smelted ores

Hey guys, so im looking at trying out some new stuff on minecraft and not entirely where to start!

I was just looking at redpower as one of the first mods to try out (think we have it on server?) - I like the idea of being able to send objects through tubes long distance - saves having to run back up to my foundry while i am still mining!

Ideally it would be cool to mine materials, send them up to the foundry and have them processed straight away.. ..is this possible? e.g. Use a block breaker, transposer or filter to provide the ore, send up via tubing, exits tubing to furnace and automatically smelts...

Id be interested to hear what kind of operations you guys all have set up..

I have a heap of ore which is currently not doing alot - so i would like to start exploring uses for it

This will consume the diamond, but it also means that someone else making a chest with the same color code cannot access your things.
Not sure I understand.... I thought only the player who made the ender chest can access it - if 2 players chests are colour coded the same, does that mean they will conflict and both players can access those chests?

These are not vanilla ender chests. They are not restricted by player. All chests coded green, white, blue will access the same storage space, regardless of who creates or places them.

Update - ok so i did some more research and understand buildcraft a bit better courtesty of their wiki.. ..so im understanding that what i can do is use wooden pipes to transport items and fuel to my furnaces - i can use one of the blocks to split where the contents travel (i think?) so i can send lava to the bottom slot of the furnace and ore to be smelted to the top, and engine powered wooden tube on the side should transport items out of the furnace and to my desired location..
