Which servers do you visit
 

Apart from TOG server, what other servers do you visit and why? If you can recommend an IP address then let me know why you go there. :)

You know that when you visit a server you visit every client that server has ever been with as well...

I know a friend of a friend who once visited this server and......

I used to visit FTB servers (none specific I was looking for a good one) but since TOG got thiers I am a TOG er all the way through.

What are you trying to say about server admins? ;)

I guess being new to mplayer im looking for a 1.4.6 server that doesnt need client side mods (or very few).

Well we have one server here that requires no mods, but most of us are using the other (FTB) one at the moment, as it's more fun ;)

The FTB server requires only the downloading of one file - the launcher, which you then run and it downloads the mod pack and installs it for you (and doesn't affect your standard Minecraft install). So it's very easy to use.

i'm not completely adverse to mods but some servers are mod crazy. i could spend all day d/l and trbl shooting mods just to find out the server is full of griefers.

I have seen people claim their servers use over 100 mods. Our Frontier/Sanctuary servers are rather lean compared to most servers.

The only other servers I have ever visited are the MineZ ones which use a mod based on DayZ. Survival is hard due to a lack of food, lots of super fast zombies, lag and other players being out to get you. Interesting, but not my sort of gameplay.

There's also a difference between server-side mods and client side ones.... Frontier/Sanctuary use mods for the running of the server, but the players don't install any mods to use the server (and infact we only allow a couple of mods to be used).
