Default Other worlds and extra land?

And while I am asking questions...

I understand that in the mining world we are not to build surface structures (only dig). What about the other worlds such as Twilight? I tried to find any community rules about that place, but so far I haven't had any luck. And with Mystcraft I see that we have the ability to create our own worlds. Is this against the server rules, or is this ok?

And on another note, what is the rule about grabbing additional plots of land in the main world? As I noted in a prior thread, critters are very scarce where my main building is at. Is it ok if I grab a small plot of land elsewhere for a farm?

Feel free to settle in in the Twilight Forest, if it suits you.
No creating Mystcraft worlds. Each world places extra strain on the server, and we're pushing our luck as it is.

If the place you've started doesn't have enough livestock, you can move. I can't think of any problem with that.
Also, though, there's a stockyard at spawn. You can breed a few animals there and then bring them out to your place. If you need help, I or someone else can lend a hand getting them there. There are several ways to conveniently move animals.

I think that the only reason not to build on the mining world is that the world gets regenerated when the resources run low, and so they don't want you to lose work that goes into a structure. I see no reason not to build a throw away shack on the surface as a mining base or safehouse.

I think that we can build in twilight, and I don't think that there are plans for that to regenerate. As to mystcraft worlds, creating new ones is forbidden due to the load that they add to the server. The mining world is the only mystcraft world allowed. I have a single player world that I use to play around with those.

Finally, I think that you can certainly create multiple sites on the main world.

About halfway through my first major structure, I have decided that it's not an optimal location (too crowded). Should I tear it down so that it is back to it's wild state, or just put up a sign saying that if anyone needs the site, that they are welcome to demolish what they will?

Either way will be fine. If you want the materials for yourself, take them.
