Default Server Version question

Any timetable for the server going to V1.6?

I play with other friends on a server (Bukkit) and so I updated to 1.6. Since then I haven't logged into our server, but would love to when you guys update, or if you do.

What are your thoughts?

Hope all is well!

I believe the official timeline is "Soon."

This may or may not be in Valve Time.

there are many things that define soon, based on the details provided first one must calculate the length of a piece of sting, then once that is formulated it must be used to measure hte consistancy of 5 unidentified liquids.

This gives the guide to how soon soon is.......or should stall you long enough.

I think a number of people have updated and playing elsewhere or single player 1.6 as the server has been very lonely all week!

I miss my stuff there and want to come back around... I will be patient for the server update, I understand the work involved.

The last month has been engulfed by LA Noire (OK game), Witcher 2 (Amazing freaking game), and a replay of Borderlands on PS3 (Amazing even the 3rd time through).

I realized when my dreams were inside the Minecraft world, I should probably take a break from it... I will be back though.

I started trying 1.6 last night for a while. Since I have been the main updater this year, the update to 1.6 has been delayed by 1) real life ... its marking season for my university so I have been busy [1] 2) Bukkit and its mods .... 1.6 had various problems that Bukkit had to fix and some mods are reportedly having trouble with each other.

So the "soon" means that I can probably start testing everything this weekend. However, this doesn't mean that I necessarily will update this weekend, but hopefully I will sometime next week.... if everything is happy.

Blizzard enjoys the use of Soon™ in their time scale.

Hofstadter's law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hofstadter's Law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.

It is the perfect law for the time involved to change something that is either
a) poorly defined or,
b) constantly changing.
