The Grand Bazzito Canyon
Greetings All

the other night we found a small hole, on further investigation it appeared to be a hole dug by the Grand Bazzito and his magical mega nuke tech

Feels like you wouldn't want to be too close when that thing goes off ;)

Just did that in my own single player 9x9 block of nukes :) Cool hole, finally saw the loading thing with the xycraft everyone is talking about since such a big render.

Wow... I see why the no nuclear power in the city rule exists...

So!? I was digging an outdoor toilet......
...and enjoy a lot of curries.......

(go on picture the hole.......FULL!)
This disturbing mental image bought to you by Bazz - your welcome :)

As it was going:

The resulting hole:

It was all in the name of science though..... ok.... it was 99% in the name of "splody fun" and 1% in the name of "checking to see how much the server can handle"...

But, we turned it into a science experiment, and that's the main (justifying) thing.

We found out that while the canyon was in it's "raw" form..... the server had MASSIVE issues with it. When we smoothed out the bedrock layer so it was flat instead of jagged (so by being flat had less surface area), the server then was *MUCH* happier.

Send in the Turtles to cover the hole!

(I just learned about turtles *giddy laugh*... err... *Manly Grunt*)

A filler in fill mode at the level you want to come up to, full of sand or gravel, does nicely, as well.

DaedalusAlpha 22nd January 2013 08:52 PM

You would need A LOT of sand to cover that hole :D
