Broken Recipe
another broken recipe that needs looking at:
Irradiant Uranium which is used in the irradiant glass panels for the advanced solar panels. As with the industrial macerator (or whatever it was) it will not let you take the finished item from the crafting table.

Maybe we should keep a list!!

The server does complain about various nuclear-based ores/items, but until we get confirmation from players, we don't know what works and doesn't work. So yes, tell us about any bad recipes.

Did you guys do any config changes to any of the mods?
Or remove any mods for that matter, like the stupid crystals?

Nothing has changed recently, please write here if you find a recipe thats not working, in the mean time, if you give the mats to an admin or Mod they wuill be able to spawn an Item for you

For this server/world from the start we removed
  • Xycraft
  • Soul Shards
  • most things in Portal Gun except the boots
We successfully added
  • Mystcraft
  • Additional pipes
  • Mo's Creatures
We changed a few settings for mods to try and be kind to the server and players. Unfortunately, some of the changed settings had to be returned to the default due to problems.

The only one I know of for sure, is the regular Macerator. I was going to craft some new Rotary Macerators, and couldn't get the first one created to use in the rotary recipe. I tried both the old recipe and the new one with diamonds. The diamond one at least would look like it picked up the newly created machines, but everything would rubberband and there would be nothing created.

Only thing I have found on this is that the client and server configs for the items do not match - so the recipe is set to easy on the server and hard on the client.

That certainly gives the behavior we have been seeing.

This is the most obvious (but probably not only) part from my client:

Sounds like it would be a good thing if a mod/admin looked at the corresponding config file on the server to see which way things need tweaked.

I know they had mentioned the possibility of making some of the recipes cheaper. Wonder if they got changed on the server but we need to change our clients too?

Seems like a stupid thing for the mod developers to miss. They really should sync these things with the server.

As per missing recepies, I saw that the method of getting clay dust by macerating clay blocks isn't shown, but it works. So I don't know if it fits in here.

Edit: idea to test the possibly wrongly configured receipes;
Use an automatic crafting table, set up the receipe with a chest nearby with enough items to build it (a macerator easy receipt for example), then set up a wooden pipe with a redstone engine to pump the item out. That way the construction happens entirely server side. I'm thinking this might make it so even if nothing shows up as a result in the table, it might work anyway.

We have already had to modify the server settings here to match them to the client. Otherwise, the recipes weren't working at all. Initially we had made most of them set to easy, but alas, it did not work due to the mismatch.
