Default The Beauty of Minecraft

From a nature photographer point of view, I present you some photos from my last expedition. I tried to capture them as I would do it in the real world.

The automatic map generation in Minecraft is very interesting! I ensure that all places are 100% automatic generated. More photos will follow.

Nice.

Is it just me, or do the pictures look warped/rounded?

That's just your old cheap CRT monitor.

But actually the first one on initial viewing can give that impression.

Most of the photos are combined by 6 or 8 screenshots in photoshop for a more impressive FOV and the alignment algorithm is not optimized for a strange cubic minecraft world =) The warp effect is also quite distinct because of all straight lines from blocks.

I especially like the last one. It looks like someone has shot a cannon through the hills (either that or tooth decay).

The map generator antilogarithm is really quite impressive... and its not just the above ground world that is qite good looking..

if you travel to a world regen edge, and peer beyond the regen area, the underground is also built quite impressive too

I have been spending some time, just navigating around lava flows underground, that NAM found me doing the other day, some of them are HUGE, but give a lovely scenery that is totally world generated... apart form the few water pools I needed when I was on fire

I walked and climbed and walked some more to the end of the world and found some ore.

A little bit longer I lasted and got lost, but I found a friend... a cow who was depressed and killed himself.

In the deepest mist I missed my cow, but instead I found a new friend somehow, the only thing she wanted was my flower...
