Default Frontier Panoramas

I've been wanting to start making some panoramic photos of Frontier. I haven't calculated the right focal length, or set up precision panning keys for my mouse yet, and can only upload 1 MB images to PhotoBucket at the moment... but here's a quick-and-dirty, first-test effort. Click on the photo to see a larger image.

Cannon Hill Target Zone
(Click this link to view full hi-res image)

Wandering Mobs beware!
The armaments on cannon hill have you in their sights.

ZomBye-Bye, End-A-Man, Spy-Derp, and Skele-Gone have you in their sights. Who knows, Espesh may even come up with some more gunpoweder someday and then they could be really dangerous!

Thanks. That particular shot worked out so well because the site was ideal for taking a panorama shot; namely everything you wanted to view was in the distance. Close-up features that can't or aren't cropped out get distorted, as shown in the Nether bar pic. I've figured out how to plug in the correct Minecraft focal length now, setup rotation macros to eliminate any vertical jitter, and largely automate the stitching process. Images are not likely to get much better than the Cannon Hill 360 panorama. I also doubled my memory to 16 GB yesterday so I can mine, craft, map, and shoot panoramas all at the same time if so desired. Happy to come take a panorama view anywhere on Frontier if you've got a site you'd like included in the gallery. Just let me know.

Hey Espesh. Sorry I missed your online panorama request. I was busy handling some tech support, and by the time I returned you were gone. Just let me know where next time you're on. Or just leave some directions here to a coordinate if it's easy enough to get there without a teleport. I think I can figure out how to use the Nether portals for travel. Glad to help out.

360-Degree Panorama of Nether The Fortress

Come visit the lovely Nether Fortress by following the path described in this post. The pools are nice and warm.

Hunger Games City

Espesh asked for an image of the Hunger Games City. Unfortunately a downward pointing view doesn't make as nice of a panorama as an outward facing camera viewing the far-distant landscape; too much distortion for my liking. But I made one anyway, and also made a circular image which can often work well for a downward facing view. Of course, you can't see the tallest building in the city, since I'm standing atop a stack of netherrack bricks piled on it's roof.
