Default Teh old hardcorer needs his kicks still.

'Elo mateys been waiting for the AoC to come too long, being an old addict with a ToNG wifey... Love her but love her more when she thinks she needs to be fondled more and harder like I wouldn't notice her even if I do play (honestly I do notice her, I think ;D).
So I was thinking is the Vanguard worth for the casual gamer a friend of mine told it focuses on team play and stuff. Kinda didn't get a clear picture, wishing your help here.

Most importantly is it time consuming grinding game like WoW was for a gamer who might not have friends around all the time to do it with the "phun and good folk". I mean doing anything in the endgame of WoW was pain in everything as it took a team with decent players wich was night impossible to find so you could play and have a fat funny chat while doing it low enough concentration needed ( I healed almost any instance alone with my Shaman even UBRS in a nice and friendly chatty team of wizened players).

Meaning I might have time to do a nice 3-4 hours jaunt in it or I might log on for a 2-3 hours evening of gaming and end up with 1hour due to fondlage or the small civicpolices stealing my time all together. And I do know WoW offers nothing for so casual gaming (or atleast it didnt at 60lvl who had done all under so called 20-40man instances atleast too many times out of too many times), so I'm questing is Vanguard more friendly for casual gamer ( still not sure can I play it because I ain't got credit card as I don't need it, gotta try to find out if you can pay it in away I can do it too) like me so I could get my kicks from games too still.

Being old hardcore pen & paper fantasy RPG gamer (some 5-10hours a week on scifi too) I still would like to play something around my playgrounds as its fun enough and I love the chats with the folks more than the regular friendly John Doe thousand klicks away from ya.

Fondly your's Teary the young work-a-holic

You might like VG. It's not spoon fed as some games are. Lots of changes since launch and SOE has many more in the works including server consolodation to increase population on each. We have a great group in VG. There might even be a try out key floating around. Post on the VG forum and see.
