Would anyone be up for Old School EQ?

Recently I have had the urge to re-visit the golden years of MMO's to play old school Everquest.

I miss the days of newbie runs through Highpass, one shot kills by Hill giants, and running from monks in Unrest.

Would there be much interest in forming a guild to try to play a few casual evenings of Everquest as it was upon release in 1999 using only the old world of Norrath?

Well it looks like the great EQ expirment is over.. I could barely keep it running. I've got new drivers et al, but I keep getting booted. Oh well.

You should try Vanguard - I think that people who enjoyed the original EQ tend to like VSOH.

I've had the EQ nostalgia bug for quite a while now... but alas I think we're the only two :P Vanguard is *very* similar to EQ in 'feel' and it may substitute

The original EQ was brilliant. I have so many memories from that game and I got WAY too addicted to it. Long live 6 hour corpse runs ending at 3am in the morning when you have to wake up at 5am for work, haha.

I've yet to play another MMORPG that compares to EQ. I don't know if I ever will, either.
