Lots of demo's and betas going on that month.

I know myself I got heavily into ENemy Territory- Quake Wars for a few weeks there and near as neglected LOTRO and WoW. It has evened out again in the last week.
Many would have also been drawn to TF2 and the Stress Test /(not so) Closed betas for Tabula Rasa, Gods & Heroes, Pirates of the Burning Sea etc.
