I got in the Fileplanet Beta and frankly was not impressed with it at all.

Pass for me.

Its alright, good game but unfortunately it wont get much shine because of the 2 mammoths currently saturating the market (WoW and EQ2). It wasn't hyped very much, but who knows, it may sneak up on people like COH did. I wont be playing it immediately, maybe in the forseeable future..

Taking all the bugs into account (it is still in closed beta after all) I like it.
On the topic of lag I haven't had any more problems with it than american players have had... the main issue presently seems to be overall zone/server stability... which they seem to slowly be getting on top of.

I'll continue to play it once it goes Live. -nod-

Hi folks - just signed up for TOG

...and incidentally, MxO. I'm definitely keen to participate in any TOG MxO community, but I think the NDA will keep most of us actually in the beta from posting anything worthwhile.

(If I can suggest such a thing with my first ever real post, we might need to save any serious discussion of this topic for the MxO beta forums themselves)

Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with how its turning out, it seems to suit my idea of a long term, changeable and multi-spectral MMO...and the combat definitely suits my compulsion to unload automatic weapons with both hands.

If anyone else is keen, I'll be online (hopefully) testing away tomorrow from about Aussie EST 6am (no, really, more like 11am).

Oh, and I go by the name of Lynch, World 1. Say G'day :P.

The pricing has been announced in the last beta report...

To quote;
"Also released this week was information about The Matrix Online pricing plan. To answer the most asked-about questions: The game will be $14.99 US per month and there are plans for prepaid game cards."

The beta is also going 24/7 (subject to stability...heh heh) as of Wednesday, December 15.

I've been getting good responses to the few bugs/problems I've had so far, they seem to be working pretty hard; But I guess they should be, with a release set for Jan 05...
