My char is Suriana, Pyromancer (elite) - I forget the level because I don't play very often at all - just when my 3 year old wants me to really until I can figure it all out. Right now I just mostly die lol. I'm so used to EQ/ EQ2. I can't even figure out how to use the different chat channels except for local. I feel like such a noob lol.

BTW...my characters are currently on normal mode while I'm "readjusting" to the game after the zone 2 and patch updates. I'll create some sort of Elite character, probably named Khaxian, in due time.

Yukkione said some of you were playing this, so I thought I'd re-install it. I haven't played for a long time, so I had to make new characters. I take it I should make them all elite? I'll have a Kalizaar (Gadgeteer), Milambrus (Pyromancer), and Beldark (Bloodletter).

What would you compare this game too? I thought about trying to find a way into the beta, but the site isn't that descriptive.

It reminds me of a mix between Diablo and Darkstone. I've heard people mention Fate before, but I never played that one. It's kinda fun so far in the beginning, and I bet it's even more-so when playing with other people rather than solo.

yes, a bunch of us are playing Mythos again...We're just waiting for AOC really. If you want to join us you'll need the latest client. (fresh install)

This game is a lot of fun. they've added new areas, items, a new race and CRAFTING! and it's very well done and interesting.

it might be hard getting a beta key now...someone might have an extra, or go on the flagship irc channel and get one.

The game is like...Diablo 2. but with updated graphics and particle effects. The game play is fun, simple and fast, but the character development can be quite deep...There are many builds to explore. Lots of quests for both money and loot, but also for crafting.

I havn't started playing this again yet, but I have downloaded and patched myself up to the current release.
I was playing elite before because that is what others were playing, but I think normal might be a better choice for me.
There are so many builds to try, and you can't respec in elite.
Since I havn't tried normal yet, can anyone tell me what limitations are there on the respec merchant? does it have an incrementing cost/level limit/anything else I should know?

man I couldn't tell you, i think it's just pay the cost. I will say that playing Elite is the way to go. It only takes a couple days to progress to lvl 10 and the next town. So trying different builds isnt that hard. just make another toon. When you group with high players we can take you out and lvl you up in no time.
