Requiem has just gone into Open Beta, looks really good and might be worth the look. This will be a f2p game, with microtransactions, however there is talk of a subscription also that may increase the xp and drop rate for those that cant play as often as others.

The biggest problem I have found so far is the number of kids playing, you stamp a game as 17+ and you instantly attract every kid with half a brain to the game. Especially when you mention the words 'Partial Nudity' If you can ignore the region chat then its actually pretty good.

Be aware though that there is likely going to be a character wipe at the end of the Open Beta, although some people do not see it as such a Beta is a chance to actually 'Test' a game for bugs etc, not to get a jumpstart on the rest of the players when it goes live.

Maybe on go live if we have enough players (needs 10 I think) we can create a TOG guild on one of the servers? Although to be honest I only play this during those times that I dont feel like playing WoW

I'm currently playing this game and I'm having a great time. I love the atmosphere and graphics (though they're not as spiffy as some games, they're still pretty darn spiffy), the interesting variety of monsters and the varied areas and landscapes. I was shocked to go from the little villages of the starting area to the big cities. The feel of awe and wonder were palpable. I loved it!

The translation is done a lot better than many Korean imports I've tried, and the overall feel of the game is appropriate to the story.

Yes, the number of foul-mouthed kids who think they're being clever by making nasty remarks is unsettling but I can put them on ignore. And hopefully the admins of the game will ban some of the worst offenders.

Sure, it's beta and there are a lot of bugs and problems, but that's what playing a beta test game is all about - finding and fixing those bugs. I'm going to be sinking a lot of my MMO time into this one.

If you see Hephaesta (Valdes server) or Ennui (Lintra server) running around there, feel free to say hello!

I am currently only level 13 as most of my time is still spent playing WoW, however at the moment I am only doing dailies in wow so finding more time to play Requiem isnt hard to do

I was in on CB and it was nice no kids and the server was smooth and not laggy. the bugs have got better with time. Admins listen when you make a sugestion. and look at bugs. I am currently lvl 7 on Valdes. Bulldog698 is my toon name.

Correction on the Character Wipe after OB of Requiem too, one of the devs has come out and said that it hasnt been decided yet, there was a break down in communications between the board manager and devs. So we will wait and see
