Stargate Worlds "Command" Sub-Forum Request Put In

Hi All,

For all those following the progress of "Stargate Worlds" MMORPG. Besides following the discussion started over in Arep's Preview article of the same game title.

After Arep having secured the permission from a TOG Admin. That we can make a request for a Command sub-forum at the official game developer forum site. I made the request on behalf of TOG itself to Scepter their community manager. (of course any TOGer having signed their NDA document will need to be enforced be it here or upon the creation of that public message board)

I did run into a snagfu, the Command (Guild) request is supposed to be made via PM at they're forum site. Scepter's PM inbox is stuffed to capacity, lol. So i emailed the request to him instead. I also to be redundant about it made a PM to they're assistant community leader Deg. That PM with the request and explaining Scepter's inbox troubles did go through to him.

So now we're playing the waiting game until they process the request.

I just wanted to let everyone know as to the status discussed in Arep's preview article thread.

Ive already signed up for the beta but I have heard anything yet. Does anyone have any updates about this game.

closed beta starts mid july right now its family and friends theres 150k players signed up for beta

one thing do not post that u got into the beta this will break the NDA

the game set to release cristmas- feb 2009

Thanks Cowkiller for that status of the game's development.

This past Wednesday on G4 cable channel on the X-Play show. Showed a snippet about Stargate Worlds, where they mentioned right now its friends and family with their closed beta.

Mid-July is just another week away.

Any word on the Command Forum?
I scan through the Command Forum every couple days, The Old Timers Guild catches me everytime lol.

I know, that's how i got the original idea to have one for TOG itself.

On the "How To" create a Command forum thread it says the application can take up to 6 weeks. That's either Scepter checks his email's versus a crammed PM inbox. Or if Deg was courteous enough to forward my request i made to him via PM.

Hopefully as the game progresses through beta, interest will grow here at TOG. First milestone will be a sub forum here in The Realms I guess.
I really hope this game lives up to it's potential, I've been desperate for a good game for awhile now.
Especially one thats not high fantasy, lol.

Do we have any news on our command section?
I've been checking daily too - I updated the thread we have introducing us.

I've got my fingers crossed for all of us Lets hope they like inviting members of the same group =)

This is all getting very exciting! I just can't wait to some of the game and of course game with TOGers at release!!
