From the same interview as the last couple SGW video's, one of the crowd was invited to come up and play. Still trying to download and watch (gg isp shaping) so I can't review it too much but thought I'd toss it up for you all because I think its new.

I wasn't able to watch it, after an hour I had about 30seconds of footage.

Ok quick summary for people who don't want to watch the video.
* Enemy Target HUD with their hp/focus will also show their level of 'cover' * Nobody dies, you're just defeated. You wake up at a medtent or something (figure this means it depends on the area) * Charachters advance with skill tree's. These aren't talent trees like in WOW where they augment your core abilities, its more these trees really define who your charachter is by the abilities you get from them. * They are planning to roll out a steady progression of story 'chapters' possibly in conjunction with the show (I'm guessing atlantis? not sure how this works they said no atlantis at launch). These will also include regularly raising the level cap so there's not the same definitive 'endgame' stops in other mmorpgs. * A new meneace threatens the galaxy (probably the milky way) however they remained tight lipped on revealing any info about that. The chapters would introduce you to them etc and lead you to some main 'instance' I believe was the word they used which is to be some sort of climax to the event. That should sum up most of it I think. |

I just hope they don't do gate jumping as instances but just a different open world like SWG. Speaking of, that game play reminds me of a cross between SWG and TR.

Hi There,
"TR" = Tabula Rasa another sci-fi Mmorpg some may draw a parallel to in regards to SGW. Thanks again Reoh for the continued SGW video linkage from Comic-Con. ![]() I remember hearing from this third installment of a video that the scientist archetype. Can carry a Mobile Medical Tent with them instead of footing it back from some main camp site after a toon revival. However everyone in-game will have healing first aid abilities unlike a specific healer class. But if the scientist is the one to have a portable medical tent. If so i wonder what other advanced medical gear they can use? |

duno I wont blame mmo's of recient really it's got to be me. Has to be me. But they all seem the same.
I personally know of only really maybe 3 or so types that were inovative. UO Eve WWIIOL Not saying they were or are great games just that they seem to "me" to be the only real 3 types [I wont even swear they were the first to ever do what they do but we the first in my experience] Everything else seems to either sort of add a skin to the game maybe a gadget here or there names are different, missions, but the core meat and bones of the games just seem the same once I get playing them. I have absolutely no cure for it either guess if I did I'd be a gogilionaire reinventing the wheel and all. Hopefully something will come along and reignite my flame again. But right now I feel just sort of hanging around. |
