Default KOTOR Online - Jedi & Sith

A couple articles were penned by a starwars correspondant over at tentonhammer, these are NOT based on official bioware releases, but are historical facts as per the star wars lore summarising what the jedi and sith factions were like at the time (much different from the movies)

Jedi circa KOTOR II...
KOTOR Online Editorial - A Guide to the Old Republic Jedi | Ten Ton Hammer

Sith circa KOTOR II...
KOTOR Online Editorial - The Power of the Sith | Ten Ton Hammer

I enjoyed jedi knight 2 and academy a whole lot. i suffered through the game play of kotor 1 & 2 for the story line. by the end of 2 I was so mad. what a waste of a good story.

i'm still not sure what will be the difference between kotor online and star wars galaxies.

The first KOTOR was done by Bioware, they know how to tell a good story (Buldars Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Mass Effect etc) the second KOTOR was done by some other company and thus wasn't as good.

I'm keen to see what Bioware do with an MMO, they've always produced chiefly story driven games but MMOs tend to focus on a trio of gameplay mechanics: character building, collecting & crafting/building, and economics. Narratives always seem to come in as a close 4th place in most MMOs.

Games are the modern equivalent of folk lore. Its a shame to see so many releaesd which fail in this department.

Star wars got away from itself a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.
