SGW: Ten Ton Hammer Premium Members Get Into The Beta

Hi Guys,

Whilst following the "Dev Tracker" on the SGW forum site which i do daily. Although i may not post here in our sub-msg board without some good reason or material.

The "Ten Ton Hammer" gamer news portal site has a new marketing pull for SGW fans. They're premium members will automatically get into the SGW closed beta. With a few thousand beta keys made available to them right off the bat.

So if your an existing premium member over at "Ten Ton Hammer" or a potential new one. This marketing opportunity to drive up their premium membership accounts may be of interest to a few of you.

Beta access will begin September 19th Friday, which i'm guessing is the weekend before the official start of closed beta.

So those of us with previous beta application in already may just have to wait a few days later.

Hi Reoh,

I corrected the date to September 19th which is still a Friday. A Ten Ton Hammer PR Staffer named Shalalyn posted to our TOG SGW sub-forum stating the corrected date.

My guess is still those with marketing offers only get in a few days before everyone else. So those of us who applied for the closed beta earlier won't be desperate for such an offer.

Gosh all these games coming out mid September. Spore just came out (and kinda flopped) and I have WAR about to launch. *sigh*

Eek! Spore kinda flopped?

Sunday night the Discovery Channel even did a co-branded re-release of a creature evolution on Earth 5 million to 200 million years from now. Where during the commercial breaks the Spore dev team and Will Wright were interviewed.

Besides talk about EA licensing Spore as a game engine middle ware software.

Yeah, for those interested in WAR Online it'll be a toughie to choose. Although the SGW is a closed beta which means it'll be "Free to Play" during the testing period. (that's if one applied for the beta)

Oh, I did. Long time ago - hehe.

Yeah well, a lot of low reviews (checkout amazons, 1 of 5 stars) and people complaining about it. I can see why, hope they release a patch or something to resolve a couple of the issues.

Been waiting for SGW for ages.... even got within the first 5-10k of beta applicants (got the number somewhere among my emails lol). They could make a great game out of it...or a flop...lots of potential.

I have very much got my eye on SGW. Have actually signed up at Ten Ton Hammer specifically for it. Yes it is effectively paying for a beta but it was only $20 plus I got an additional open beta code for War that I was able to give to a friend who had pre-ordered but they had no beta codes left for him. Effectively paid the same for my War beta access as that was the deposit I put down for pre-order.
