Earthrise mmo starts beta process!

new game done by masthead studios looks decent has alot of good play ideas tons of crafting and a open pvp system.
beta app is one of the news items on the front page
hope TOG can establish a presence in this mmo

Also check out Fallen Earth, they are in Alpha at the moment but look good as well.

I've signed up for the beta but my luck lately for getting excepted has been absolutely horrible.

So any thoughts on this game yet?
I was reading another post about the game and the description bellow sounds quite promising and adds a new level of social interaction.

"As characters group together into Guilds, they will enter a whole new level of PvP – the Concession Grounds, a vast portion of the island broken into contested territories that can be conquered, built up into profitable bases with many functions such as mining, manufacturing, and guild administration. Guilds will fight for control over these territories for many reasons, but the main being economic power – as some of the most powerful resources used to create the most wanted items originate from the Concession Grounds, Guilds in control of these territories will decide the fate of the world economy. With power comes rivalry as the more powerful guilds will face fierce opposition from everyone else not profiting from the production."

PS. I have applied for a beta account but I am not sure if it will come trough or not and I may have to wait until the official release.

interesting observation Reoh and unfortunately that would make a lot of sense but I would hope the company would be able to ferret that out and cancel their accounts/guild, but then again that probably won't happen.

It is an interesting idea though, where guild holdings provide funds rather than cost them. Certainly a good sparking point for pvp play.

I guess I am hoping that I will eventually find a MMORPG game which has a bit more than just senseless killing of which I get bored if it is too repetitive.
Every now and then I feel like hanging the weapons up and doing something else that is interesting and challenging ... maybe I am asking for too much here.
I am currently evaluating Age of Conan and Warhammer for which I have a 10 day trial, AoC doesn't seem to have a trial so I have been reading the reviews.
Since Tabula Rasa I have not really found anything else ... well sorry, I tell a lie, have been playing Savage2 on and off.

For AoC you can get a buddy key, ask in the AoC forums under Gwahlur for one. I don't have any left but I am sure someone does.
