WOT MMORPG

Not What, WOT! Wheel of Time, by the late Robert Jordan and being finished by Brandon Sanderson. I've always thought this would make an interesting mmorpg that I would love to run around in. I've got no details for you, just this press release stating that a game may be developing and EA is planning to distribute.

For those of you interested, there's over a dozen wrist-spraining sized WOT novels and various websites on the net to find out about the setting. Essentially its a uniquely generated fantasy genre on an epic scale.

Some follow up links, apparently they'll be releasing a number of games associated with WOT movies (rumored budget of the first is $150 million... presumably USD). Cultminating with the WOT mmorpg which is based on the world from the novels, which I'm presuming means it will be from that age, and not another.

I read the first two novels, interesting, not sure about a mmo on it as I really didn't get into the second book and left it at that.

I loved that book series, best fantasy stuff I ever read I think. Not sure how much it would stick out from other games though, which might be needed to draw attention to it.

An interesting proposition. Pretty much the same fantasy story as all the others though. One thing, they would have to have a multitude of female hair styles and outfits as at least a quarter of every book was taken up with describing them.
I made it to the 4th book and found I'd read 2 pages and not remember a word I'd just read as my mind was wandering from boredom. It's a shame the editors didn't take out a lot of the unnecessary and tighten it up. It was a good story.

Lets not forget the comment "shifted her skirts", someone actually calculated that those two words made a significant component of each book - haha
