Thanks for the linky merwood, lot of video's there I hadnt' seen. Haven't been following it as much because I just hadn't seen much for it out yet. Judging from what I've seen today...
* Heroes and Villains are playable
* Classless characters, instead you chose modes (while out of combat)
- Travel modes; Speedster, Acrobat, Flying
- Support; healing abilities
- Defensive; tanking style abilities, reduced damage in/out, some crowd control
- Offensive; max dmg in/out, more offensive abilities
* Characters are tailored by traits, which are spent to make certain character aspects more or less powerful
- things like levels of super strength, melee fighting, ranged, metabolism/healing, etc
* good pvp heroes vs villains, including competing against one another to achieve objectives
- this has the promise of good gameplay, but also of really anoying gameplay if one side outzergs the other (either getting pwned, or boring victories)
* casebook
- Remembers the cases (villains do capers) you've completed (quests, missions, etc)
- Can recomplete cases and try for extra completes, like "finished without being knocked out"
- NPCs who ask for help will act differently if you helped or ignored their last request
* no death, you get knocked out. Can revive a short while later with max health and no endurance (not sure what its called, energy used by powers), can revive npc's around the gameworld to help yourself out in the area
All in all, I'd say it looks like characters powers are less customisable than champions online, but the gameplay sounds potentially alittle more promising, particularly in regards to PvP fans.
