Anyone looking forward to Champions Online?

I played the Champions Pen and Paper, since '92. and played City of Heroes since Beta, defiantly looking forward to Champions Online, hoping for some beta action too.

Drac submitted a bunch of our names to Cryptic to try and get into beta as a guild. I'd throw your name in this thread and if/when we get accepted we may be able to send them an update: Champions Online Guild Beta

I can't wait for this one...I've read a lot of great things and I like Cryptic as a developer.

Yep, I'm keeping a list of people who've send me details after I first submitted, if Cryptic ask for an an updated list of emails or if some of us get into the beta and get buddy codes to pass out I'll be using that list of people who first missed out.

Nice ones, they do look like Murlocs and their 'children' sound like Naga! Mind you I think the champions IP its based off from is 20years or so old at least.

I really like the sound of customisation that is possible, but what about recustomisation I wonder? One of the things that really bugs me about the CoX games is you're stuck with your primary/secondary pool from creation. There's precedent too, in the hero world, of characters that developed or changed their powers as they moved along. Sometimes changing significantly (jean gray / phoenix, or Rogue /& miss marble).

I was wondering the same thing Reoh, they have yet to mention it but I'm hoping they put in some form of recustomising a character, should be possible if there are no specific classes in the game.

Will respecs only reset certain aspects of your character's build or will it refund everything so you can re-choose completely different powers, etc.?

Retcons (the Champions term for respecs) will respec almost everything on your character. A few things will not be changed by a retcon - origins, for example. Up to a certain level, retcons are fairly cheap, but the higher the level of your character, the more thorough the retcon, the more expensive. That, however, only applies to voluntary retcons. If we force you to do a retcon because of some change we make, we'll refund you the points spent

not sure what origins are. probably someone more familiar with CO could tell more (like COH origins?). i'm trying not to follow CO too much because i know it'll suck me in and i'll be way overhyped and keen to play it

oh, and even though it has nothing to do with CO i thought i'd post this because i saw it while searching for CO info and it has a good LOL factor.
