Anyone tried Afterworld?

Interested to see if anyone else has had a look.

I'm not kidding, it's one of the worst games I have ever seen.

Insanely bad graphics, horrible gameplay and the community don't seem too concerned about helping noobs.

I was running round in there for about 2 hours and from what I could gather the aim of the game was to go out and mine (grind) as many resources as possible.

Seriously, it would be like being at work (but with a bunch of jerks instead of people you get along with)

just been in Afterworld for couple of days. The graphics are what they are, if that is your focus better elsewhere.
The economy in game is based on AWD the in game money. It is a heavey resource base game.
The Financing model to pay for the game is set up and funded by donation made by players entering the game. When you enter the game YOU choose to donate
10. USD which gets You 100 AWD once you enter game.
if You dont donate You start with nothing and yes have to grind resources or quests to exit the starter area.
the initial 10 usd is the same amount you need to exit the starter area so if you may want more for eqiupment etc donate more 20 , 30 whatever your confort level .
For me i found the community very friendly and helpful. Like all game those around in game change with your playtimes.
The crafting system is reciepe based connected to programs to refine and make items used in game. Theres no shop to buy nerf items. Many zones in game are PVP once pass starter town.

It is a Free 2 Play game but i do suggest donating to enter the game for an easier go.
This game is in it 3rd year of Alpha, with talk of going Beta soon.
