In my opinion this is the next best thing since Everquest.

It is also coming to Australia and a company has bought holdings in it, so I presume they're will be Australia dedicated Hosting!!

My missus has her eye on this and will be dropping Warhammer like a hot potato when it comes out.

She did a 5 hour trial on one of the chinese servers a few weeks ago and spent most of the time in the character creation screens. It was all about the looks, bugger the game play.

Glad to see more companies respecting the Australasian community with locally hosted servers

is there actually an official word somewhere that there will be a local host in australia? or is it just wishful thinking at the moment?

i was impressed by some in game footage a while back on this game and it'll be very hard to resist the temptation indeed if they do have local servers.

Right now it's just speculation based off the dedicated Australian distributor.

AionSource.com has found a recent post from an Aion Rep about the distribution of Aion in Australia, and the current subscription numbers for the game. It's not known if Oceanic players will have their own servers, but it's likely. They will be able to play in September which will coincide with the North American launch date! Here's the Australian distribution news with information on the current number of subscribers from Aion : Aion in Australia and then in your hands! First off, a bit of stale news for anyone who pays attention to Google News or Aleo's twitter feed: NCsoft has found a dedicated Australian distributor for Aion! I have no idea if this means Oceanic nations will get their own servers, but if they do you can be sure AionSource.com will support them. There certainly seems to be a lot of interest in Aion, and so there should, as a WOW player for the last 2 years, I was itching to finally get my hands into Aion, I finally did but only had time to get my toon to lvl 13, but the game does look amazing and plays really well. But, you probably all know that from the screenshots and movies already out there.

So, one of the "rumours" that popped up over the last few days was that we would have "Australian Servers", sorry, it's just that, an internet rumour, we will be playing on the North American servers.

There will be two versions released, normal edition and then the collectors edition. More details on what is in each will be released on our Aion website - Aion - Home Page as soon as those details are finalised.

There will also be a pre-sale pack with bonus items, again, we are working on which retailers will have that and what will be inside and again, those details will be announced as soon as we can.

I thought this was an Asian MMO, wouldn't they have servers in Asia somewhere or are they lumping all the aussies on US (English language) servers?

i'm guessing as the guy mentioned , we'll be on US servers.

if we could play on asian servers then we'd be able to play it now ?

i'm sure i read somewhere a while ago that you could play on the asian servers in beta and use an english language pack.

or maybe it was one of those dream/reality mixups i tend to have
