The chance to get the game mechanics and strategy down, to know our allies, you will not get in the hostile environment we will face. If you are considering the game at all, and have the slightest bit of "ticker", you will not be disappointed. Especially if you are Aussie.

What is EU1?

The European Server (EU1) where Aussies have higher ping (320 to 400).


Because Aventurine (The game producers are Greek based and are not using a publishing house). "Ping is king" and it has been a hard slog to get an effective alliance working. The NA players also suffer a disadvantage for the same reason.

The "playing field" is about to get leveled because of the reduction in "hops".

NA players get to turn the tide and Aussie get it twice as good as now.

And we are looking now for a new solid experienced guild leader as Deadwulf and others have been promoted. If you have a team, we have enough experience now to get you the information and "lay of the land" in a "friendlier" environment.

Its a walk up start to a game that is controversial, fun, and where the developers listen to the player base. Nothing gets the adrenaline running like actually having something to lose. But as soon as you have basic crafting done, its chop 2 trees, kill 2 critters, belt 2 rocks. You are dressed, armed and ready to go again. that is only if you don't already have heaps banked.

The strategy and politics are fun making it multi layered, you cannot gimp your character. And the administration is reasonably easy.

You do not have to grind on mobs, but can if you want. Solo, small group, all the way up to massive battles have caused few server issues at all. Its solid.

It's actually a really good time to be getting involved with the TOG guild on Darkfall. We've gained three months experience in game, mastered UI and mechanics, got the lay of the land, understood tactics and identified the enemy

The best part (in my view) is the fact that NA-1 will be a clean server - no transfers from the existing server for at least a couple of months. There has been a lot of criticism about hacking/exploiting in this game and whilst Im sure its been overstated, there has been some clans who have exploited during the early stages of release. The devs have worked hard to stamp these out and to a large extent seem to have done so. But the changes have not been retrospective, so there does appear imbalances at times. The NA server promises a clean slate and a level playing field.

For our Euro players, the game has been going long enough on EU1 now so that things are starting to even out. Some of our best guild members play in this timezone, so any newcomers from this region can expect a really solid and helpful player base within TOG to get them going. Theres certainly plenty going on in Agon (EU) and our TOG guild there is really starting to establish itself in the Ork regions with a solid alliance and some great potential in the coming months.

All in all, an exciting time to be involved with this game, so if you've been hanging out for NA-1 or just watching the progress of the game, now is the time to dive in!

Both Mem and Prep have given a good look at the game in their own ways. One thing that Mem touched on is the politics within the game that give it so many more layers to it then your average MMO.

The friends and allies you make in game can either help you and bring a better experience to the game or kill you because they are considered the full on enemies of the server. Ally yourself to the wrong guild and you will be war decked until you give up.

Anyway both are correct about the game it has come along way since launch and is a pretty balanced game for the most part now. We did have exploits to deal with in the early days but a good portion of them seem to have either moved to the remote parts of the world or stopped playing. This is also a good draw to the NA server for the fresh start as these guys will either have to reroll a new character or wait 3-6 months before they allow the transfers.

Anyway I hope to see some more TOGGERs joining us in Darkfall as I feel many more poeple will enjoy the game now then when it first launched. Also they have currently fixed all the issues they had with the account mangament program and the shop is open 24 hours a day now.
