Default Never Winter Nights Online

Starting up a discussion thread for Never Winter Nights Online. I played one of the stand alone RPGers, but much like DDO the game mechanics wasn't really my thing. Still, it was a famously popular game with many others so I'm sure there should be a lot of interest in this.

Interesting concept. I know I'll be crucified for saying this but I played NWN1 and NWN2 and I found the DnD rules rather bland. By the time I was lvl 5 or 6 I had every skill worth knowing and leveling up became a ho-hum affair.

Maybe I was just too good for the game.

Now Planescape Torment, that'd be an RPG I'd love to see converted into an MMO and would present lots of opportunities for developers!

[edit]

PS another article here

http://www.massively.com/2009/06/09/...er-nights-mmo/

It makes sense to me, although they already have 2 other mmo's in the works they're both completely differently themed from each other and this one. They're going for different segments of the market. They also have all the tech to quickly have the game ready to play, all they need to develop are the actual game assets, skins, figure out the skills etc. Cryptic can just rehash their behind the scenes code and rapidly get another game to production.
