Smile Are you MMORPG Addict Player too?

Hello everyone! Do you enjoy much playing MMORPG games? I just started playing this addictive game and it really triggers my interest on PC stuff specially role playing games. WoW is the best but I didn't mean to say that others are not. I admire WoW it is because it was the MMO game that I started to play.

Hey Steven, I'm glad you're enjoying WOW as it has done a lot of things for the MMORPG community. My first was Asheron's Call, a little known MMORPG these days, but one that is still going (despite the sequel to the game having closed down).

WOW did a lot of things right, and really exposed the game to a massive audience which has prompted an explosion in the genre. While I no longer play the game myself, and I don't intend to influence your enjoyment by detailing why, let me just say that yes there are indeed now many games for all different types of players.

MMO's are my game of choice too. Maybe it's an age thing, because as I've gotten older I've moved more away from FPS and more to MMO's. My first major MMO was SWG, then I moved on to WoW for awhile. Now I'm just kinda waiting for SWTOR to come out. Got to love all the acronyms that go along with MMO's lol.

Hahahha, remember that town near uhm... Soushi? There was a house on the road, and if you killed a drudge inside, every drudge for a few kilometres (about 100 of'em) would converge on the house. LOL

And those virindi sound effects? awesome! Ahhh AC was a great game in many ways, it doesn't really compete to modern games for me now but there's still so much I WISH games today had, which it did last millenium. I cheated the spells, used the DECAL addon

Well no guessing what my game of choice is. LOL

I've told this story more that a few time but here we go. One of my friends was a huge EQ2 player, I loved the graphics, the skills he'd use, spells he'd cast and how a party of 6 guys could clear out a dungeon. But watching him playing and me playing are two different things. I didn't want to sign up to a game I didn't know if I would play but one day I was in a shop in the UK called Game and there was Guild Wars (a free to play mmorpg) on the shelf for £10. That was the end of September 2007, I installed it on the first weekend in October and joined TOG in the November.

So, addicted? ME? Not at all.

What would be the next to WoW after the WOTLK? Any idea?

The next expansion? You know I don't play anymore and haven't experienced all of the content which may have given some clues as to what the next expansion for WOW might be. I know a popular choice would be the emerald dream.

I keep buying into games when I really don't have the time to play.
Then when I do get to playing it I develop alt-itis.
I'm a horrible MMO addict.

I'm pretty much the same.

I love new games, and with MMOs I love seeing if the developers can hold my attention and can make me justify spending A$100+ for the purchase and then A$20+ a month on their game.

No one has done it yet!

Although I've returned to LOTRO once (and quit again ), and constantly drawn to WOW, although I've not gone back yet.

But I'm looking forward to Aion, APB, and Fallen Earth, Star Wars and Warhammer 40K, for example.
