Default Cross-platform bus throwing is the way of the future.

Hahaha this Kotaku article gave me a laugh, so I hope you all enjoy it too.
MMO Makers Market The Genre's Future - Mmorpg - Kotaku

What do I see for the future of MMO's? Dynamic environments, better AI's. Not just for the combat but also perhaps broader than that, much like the AI Director in L4D, where the whole zone can change back and forth both in pve and pvp. The questions would mould to fit the state of the world environment. All this, without the need for GM's to tweak or dev's to patch things. You might go from one server to the next and find the world was quite different, and if you leveled up another character again you'd find it didn't match up with your previous experiences.

What do you think is in the future of mmo's?

The thing is all mmo's are fun at the begining but it's hard to tell which one you will enjoy on the long term scale.
When you buy a game you are buying a subscription, a better model than free to play is allowing the customer legally to transfer or re-sell the title if they no longer want to sub it.

The first company to realize this will have a library full of supporters. And get a lot more initial sales than their competitors if they have similar product.

Its just a matter of time.
