Interesting....rumour of a NWN:O
 

I was going through a couple of hundred unread emails earlier (sigh) and came across one that mentioned Atari is possibly doing a Neverwinter Nights MMO.

I haven't heard any more about it though, so it could well be the rumour is just that.

OMG. This is like a dream come true for me. NWN was my first and best online gaming experience.

Question is, can they keep it the same way in an MMO as they do in multiplayer...

...I hope not, I just don't like D&D style gameplay in an mmo environment. But then again I hated the whole premise of spellbooks as being stupid! :p

I think if they made an MMO that looks and plays like NWN it would be awesome. They would just have to seriously redo the camera controls. Personally, I'm waiting for 4E D&D game :)

NWN1 was a great game, really enjoyed it
NWN2 was a horrible, bug ridden piece of trash

And now they want to milk the MMO scene. Im thinking there are way too many companys out there with dreams of being the next WoW and getting rich

Agree 100%. I almost cried when I installed NWN2 and played for the first time. Realised this was not half the game of the original, which had given me 5 years of online play.

4E D&D seems designed for computer games. Wouldn't surpise me at all if a game in the future used it.

Hmmm lifetime sub, I wonder how much that'll run.

I did love the original NWN and really was disappointed in the NWN2. If they do create a NWN's MMO, it would really have to be a step above to be able to compete with the current games out there. I hope they just stick to the current style they have with the original and just update it for D&D 4 rules and better graphics.
