CCP Announces DUST 514, a New First Person MMOG

They have said it will not be subscription based. It is however likely to have micro transactions (to buy weapons/equipment I believe).

I personally would love to see this on PC (I cant play FPS games very well on console, even though I do have a 360), but it is looking very unlikely, at least for now.

There's a Kotaku article based onother by Edge-Online about Eve/Dust that you might like to see. some interesting insights into how the game will actually play. For example, each match has a commander who selects 5 (from 10) vehicles to use, and 5 (from 15) bases to use. The commander may be player or AI controlled. Players will use the same interface galactic star map as EVE Online uses to navigate about. It really is an innovative marriage of console and pc, MMO and FPS.

Nicely done Ariya.

I was interested to see that it will NOT have a subscription model for players, although apparently there's going to be some sort of microtransactions available.
