Well Bras and I are out looking to see what MMO's are out there. As WOW is getting pretty old for us. Any suggestions on what other games are out there?

Well i have played alot of the latest mmo's and found must to be bit below avarage just my opinion, the one's that i found worth a look are age of conan very different combat system and looks great give it a good go before you give up on it tho, Aion was not bad if your looking for another wow aion is it with better graphics, But after being in wow for so long i needed something with top notch graphics and more depth so i'm hooked on vanguard saga of heros but thats just me
![]() Hope you find something, i know the feeling of trying to find a new game to settle into ( don't let ppl tell you a game is crap find out for yourself only real advice i can give you ) PS eve is not bad but is a bitch for new players. |

Have a look on the Free to grind forum, Oomii. Maybe the upcoming Allods online would be something for you. There are allready quit a lot of toggers interested in joining us there, so we might start a guild there.
I can also recommend Guild Wars, it's a challenging mmo that is quit different from wow. You might get hooked on it , I certainly am !

I've been on the hunt for a while after leaving wow a few years back, tried a bunch out (dozens really). Bought, beta'd, or just bugged friends to tell me about them to figure out if I should bother doing either of the former.
Here's a List of a few. One of the things that you'll find is most "new" MMO's aren't as polished as WOW is, only older games have had the time for that level of development. Respect to it, for that. Which means you're trading some of that polish off for something else. It might be a new and engaging combat system, genre, storyline; and the promise that perhaps a ways down the track it will develop into something more robust. The former is a matter of opinion but that last point can be weighed somewhat by gauging the developers past performances. Even if they're built by different studio's you'll tend to find the handling of the project isn't that different, which speaks to the level of refinement at launch, postlaunch support, and further development. Hope you find what you're after.

I understand the dilema. I recently tried tog et back into WoW and honeslty could not play it for more than a few days before i realized why i had quit.
So, i decided to resub to Lord of the Rings Online. I had originally played it a coupld of years back and although i recal enjoying it i gave it up. Now that i have a decent gaming rig the game runs and looks awsome! It's kind of neat seeing some of the areas from the books and movies so thats also a plus. The classes are interesting and the quests are fun. I would highly recomend the trial if you guys havent tried this game out. Talamorm / Necro |
