What happened to the toggers in Warhammer Online? Did everyone quit? I was thinking of going back to try it again, and I see that there isn't even a forum here for it anymore.

Most of our TOG presence in Warhammer dispersed over time. The division grew smaller but you may still find some people playing it, here's a link to the current warhammer forum. The old ones were archived.

I'm still holding out hope somebody will actually get a GOOD Warhammer 40K mmorpg/fps out one of these days.

The WH40K MMO is supposed to be out in 2012. They've left Mythic and will be using another developer to put it out. Hopefully it will be better.

we can only hope... but then in 40K there is no hope

I want to play a Ork Warbozz and have a bunch of Stompaz and Kanz, a Gargant and well a Space Hulk too. I really hope they put in space as well as ground combat.

I'd love it if they basically did it like Planetside. Such a great game for its day, just suffered from SOE failure to advertise syndrome.

The world wasn't big enough and at 40 I ran out of interesting stuff to do. The RvR/PvP was(is) far better than Aion but still somehow feels like it misses the mark. The usual network issues and crashing out in forts that seem to plague every MMO with that type of thing in them didn't help.
But yeah, a lack of advertising didn't help, I only found out about it because I was googling MMO's that I could play a goblin

I miss my Squig Herder...

Apparently Vigil is doing 40K?

I kind of miss Warhammer sometimes - never got to play as a togger even. One of the few games I was excited enough about to play in beta. And yeah, I was a goblin too (shaman), lots of fun. I loved how quickly it got you into pvp (and I never considered myself much of a pvp player).

Never even got to 40. The forts always seemed like 40 people fighting in a space meant for 10.

I'm not much of a PvPer either but I loved the PvP in Warhammer. The only thing holding it back was the lag and crashes which is why I eventually stopped playing.
