I checked the trial. Interesting game system concept, but feels quite pointless, you end up only grinding your skills up. I might consider if population goes up and content is added.

i played it for 1 or 2 months but like txamin says there is no point of direction only boosting skills

I was a beta tester for Ryzom. Several interesting features to the game, but I don't plan on playing it.

I played in one of their betas a long while back b4 they stopped it and went back to development stage again.

It was the "hugest" mmorpg i installed in the sense that it took the most hard disk space of any game i ever installed and was relieved to take it out, .

When I played it, it was beta and the game went back to development so I cant say anything about it now since I have not played the latest version, I just hope melee combat now isnt broken as b4.

im diggin the trial so far, ranged/melee/caster atm. looks like that jessica chick from turbine thats now heading up ryzom is working on a lot. i believe outposts are finally on the test server (or should be by next week, not exactly sure there. heard a gm talking about it last night tho outside pyr).

ranged still needs some love i guess. the amount of ammo you get per mats you have to use is still a bit too high, and id like to see a ton less bulk for carrying ammo.

other than that i decided to check it out after reading about ryzom ring. that expansion is just crazy enough to work...

well i decided this game was a total keeper for me. its got really fun gameplay, its different and i really like its future and outlook.

so if anyone is interested let me know ok? I'd be happy to help anyone out that wants to check out the free trial out of curiousity.

If i wanted to start a TOG guild there. How would I go about doing it? Their playerbase has a lot of great, mostly over 25 players that I think would be great to assimilate... err... i mean bring on board to TOG

Well you would need a massive backing for TOG to create a board for it mate, theres been plenty of games that i think would be cool for TOG to play but there just wasnt enough backing for it

oh i realize that, im just wondering what would be required to start something of my own in game under the usual "The Onyx Guard" tag to bring people on board here. I mean it may be successful, it might not, but i figure, its worth trying to get something going on my own ya know? i was lookin more for permission to start something in game and of course, 1 thing at a time. See if it works and how much interest we generate among their playerbase then take it from there.

So i guess the question should be rephrased. Would it be ok to attempt to start a tog guild in game and see how it goes?
