Could actually work too. If the MMO market wasn't already over saturated and dominated by WoW.
It's the kind of MMO that would appeal to a large demographic and being an original IP could take any number of turns.

The problem with the MMO market is publishers push the games out the door before they're ready. Take Warhammer for example, massive Day 0 sales, but everyone got pissed at the game and left. By the time they get these games polished up to where they should've been, they've already lost most of their player base.

I think one of the reasons WOW does so well, is there's so many ways to approach the game. Even the "same old quests" all get new twists. you especially see that in wotlk, and tbc too over classic. It's all about being a magician, hide the fact you're doing the same thing all over again.
What I want to see is player impact back in the game. I miss that.
