Well, being 40 something and growing up reading both Marvel and DC (reference the article saying SoE picked up the rights to DC), I might enjoy playing an mmorpg with those characters. But it would have to have long term solid gameplay, unlike City of Heroes did (for me at least). I look for the long lasting play in the style of EQ1, with other things to do besides mission, mission, mission. That said, I am sure both Microsoft and SoE are banking on the success of City of Heroes to fuel both of these games.
I read somewhere the price point of XBox 360 and PS3 were going to be MSRP around $400, and tack on a monthly fee for an mmorpg and I think it will be quite an exclusive player base.
As I've said elsewhere, I cling to the hope Vanguard will be finished and move forward the gamestyle of the original EQ.
