Default Come Back to Warhammer Online

Howdy folks , are your bored of nonstop pve ? Are you a big pvp fan and miss the good ole days of stunty smashing and burning keeps and just taking it to order each day ? .

Then come back to TOG/War as not only has the game changed considerably but also Tog is trying to rebuild the warhammer division and needs new blood . There is a new rvr patch on it's way with skavens and many other great things in stored .

We currently have a Order Guild On Volkmar and a Destro guild on badlands , But badlands is where all the action is at , So again come back to war and relive the glory days of and get your adrendaline pumping like you've never seen before

ZAM Returns to Warhammer Online: Part 1 :: ZAM

I'm tossing it up...

Edit: Ok I signed up for the 14 day trial that my account was eligible for. I have a few low level destro toons on a couple of servers, but given how long it's been since I've played, I'll be rolling a brand new one. Going to be on Badlands obviously.

I love greenskins, so for me it's a choice of those four. I play healers and RDPS, tanking and melee aren't really my style. While I think it would be a nice change after being a healer in Aion for so long to play a Squig Herder, I suspect I'd miss being able to heal too much.

What is the state of the Squig Herder and Shaman at the moment? Would it be viable to level as a Gork specced Shaman and off heal, or would people expect me to main heal? I enjoy small scale PvP as well as running around in warbands, would a dps focussed shaman by a viable class for solo/small group PvP?

Lastly, what is more needed at the moment on Badlands Destro side - it's usually healers, and if that's the case and I rolled a Shaman I'd always have the ability to respec to full heals (and I'm sure I probably would at some stage, I really am a healer at heart I think....)

Actually.... I think I just made my mind up Shaman it is. I'll post back here with my thoughts and experiences in T1 on a brand new toon.

Due to the Shaman mechanic, a DPS Shammy has an instant rez, highly useful in any PvP situation.

Both SH and Shamen are in an awesome state.

Yes you can equip a ton of intelligence and do some damage as a Shamen. Shamen=Archmage and the AM is a very cocky ganker. Being one of the few Destro healers in a Scenario, you might want to heal or you will lose, but in RVR you can definitely kill people.

Anyone who wants to play but not craft please pick up Scavenging and my Toon Poppey can turn your crud into talismans you can use. I've been supplying people so far, from my own scavenging, but am near out of materials and things.

The game is in a good state. Its stable, RVR is busy, classes are better balanced. If we could get 6 or so more players it could be a blast. Those of us who are playing are having fun.

Well my Shaman is level 5, I've done a bunch of scenarios, and I'm really surprised at how active the server is, although I do believe it's prime time-ish in the states atm.

I'm having fun on the Shaman but it's taking me a while to get to grips with the mechanics again - having to manually face a target to use a skill for instance, and the UI makes it a lot harder to see whether my party is in range to heal than in Aion.

I might roll a Squig Herder as well and see which I prefer, I understand that although they might not have the best damage, they have a lot of utility? I'm even toying with the idea of trying a choppa, although MDPS has never been my things.

If your going to play a Shamen get squared addon. It will make a lot of those problems disappear. Characters that are too far away will grey out. You can heal without facing your target.

Squared - Addons - Curse
Took me forever to wokr this out:
3.8.7 (Patch 1.3.5): If you were using the "Plain" textures (the defaults), change them to something else to make Squared work properly again. There's a "Plain (1.3.5)" option if you want to maintain the same appearance.

Don't roll a Squig Herder as you won't want to play anything else. SH when played well do very high DPS and can help out in a lot of ways. Best thing is to send a gas squig after the healers and then focus on one and kill it. A AM will run out of AP and a book Warrior Priest will run out of healing juice. Rune Priests are a waste of time, but can only heal 1 target at a time effectively, so if they are healing themselves they are not healing others. SH are fun as they have great survivability coupled with great damage.

I saw something mentioned in chat today regarding Squig Herders, and when <insert thing I can't remember here> was brought in he stopped playing his, because it gave people a speed boost and he couldn't kite effectively any more. Any idea what he was on about?

Not sure. Maybe a pocket item.

Some people were really really good at kiting. I was below average at it so I probably wouldn't notice.

I have rolled a Squiq Herder on Badlands the other day and have been quite enjoying it. Was getting totally pwned at to start with but now lvl 10 and have RvR gear and the SC gear and it's heaps of fun! You'll never out damage a BW, but you aren't as squishy (lovely little detaunt spell for 50% dmg reduction) and man is it fun to mess with the enemy back lines by sending in your Squig to harry and eventually explode! rofl.

It is a tricky char to play thou. When I was last on (bout a year ago) i had RR50 Choppa and those things pwned (prolly been nerfed now...) and were quite easy to play. U do shedloads of dmg and get heaps of heals (as opposed to the SH how gets F-all).

Now all i have to do is pull my finger out and get a Guild invite... lolz
