Default Pandora Saga

I was looking around for something abit more "traditional" in the MMO world and i happen to come across this newish MMO.

Pandora Saga when online (OpenBeta) on the 7th Jan, so i thorght i should have a little nose to see what its like.

Official Home of Pandora Saga - Free PvP Strategic Online Game

So here a little run down of my first experience of the MMO.
Firstly the games home page is was very easy and simple to navigate.
I had managed to setup my account, download the game and install in under 30mins (873mb Download > 2.1GB installed)

This is where i hit my first problem.... atm there is a problem with x64 bit systems and the games launcher.exe (the Dev's are working on it) 5-10mins later from looking on the forums i had the "work around" working.

So onto the character Gen
There are 6 races to choose from Humans (Male/Female), Elves (Male/Female), Myrine (Female Amazons), Enkidu (Male Orc-like), Dwarfs (Male) and Lapin (Not sure)
Each race comes with 3 Racial Skills which you get to pick only 1 at Character Gen.
Classes start with 4 Standard Warrior, Scout, Acolyte and Mage. These are then upgraded at lvl 20 and 45 to follow a Class/Job Path or not as you may like, to a total of 16 Classes at the lvl 45 stage.

Once entering the game itself the first thing that came to mind was "Where's the Quests ?" so used to seeing the big "!" or "?". but as you move off a Cut-scene will start and give you a few "yes" or "no" question and so the first (Main) quest starts.

The Main Quest is one Big Chain Quest, in fact my character hit lvl 20 just of this quest line alone and has still not had a break from it, manly because until lvl 20 you wont get ANY other quests. But it will get you used to the Large City that you start in and the surrounding area's.

The Skill System did take a bit getting used too.
You don't buy skills in this game, but you did need to complete certain requirements to gain access to skills.
For an example:-
First Aid Spell requires "Prayer lvl 8" as an Acolyte you start with lvl 5 Prayer
when looking at the Skill info it will show something like this "0.0-(5)/25"
0.0 is you Active skill lvl this only goes up when you used the Skill,
(5) is currently skill Cap, and the 25 is the Class Skill Cap.
You will Gain 1 point to use to increase your Current skill Cap, once its lvl 8, First Aid Spell become available.

This goes for all Skills and Spell even normal hits to the target with a pointy stick. so you will need to pay attention to how you place them.
Or you end up like me loads of healing but only hit target with mace for 3

There are 3 Nations within the game :
Latugan Empire (democratically elected leader and are known for their strategies and covert means of doing things)
Kingdom St. Pfelstein (monarchy and church and pride themselves on a code of honor, chivalry, and loyalty)
Varik Confederation (robbers, mercenaries, and assassins)

You will have to join a Nation if you wish to Class/job upgrade.

PvP in game i have yet to get involved in but from those that have done it on CB say its Fun and Balanced, its a 3 way fight where you can have both normal and mounted combat as well as use of Siege Weapons.
