Auto Assault pre-order ?!?!?

I follow Auto Assault development for some time and, finally, they made a pitch that sunk. However, before I finally click the ORDER at the Euro pre-order sites, I kindly ask AA Beta players and those who made the AA pre-order decision either way, to leave their votes and comments here.

I love speed, I love community

I like racing games a lot - even though I pretend to prefer simulations over arcade, I actually enjoy both equally. I played them all. I do own full force-feedback wheel setup.

I like MMORPGs, having betatested SWG, WoW, Earth+Beyond, EvE Online and a few others, I actually paid money for Lineage II, WoW and GW. I spend most of my time online playing WoW these days.

I like the BattleTech / MechWarrior theme, although i did not play much of the offline MW games. I spent considerable time in text-based online MUXes based on the BT theme.

Do you recommend that blitcz pre-orders AA? Why?

Personally, I'd wait for reviews / opinions from beta testers etc, just to be on safer ground.

Speedy, indeed AA is available for pre-order with the usual perks (early beta access, etc etc. see http://eu.autoassault.com ). The release date-that-cannot-be-believed-and-shall-be-postponed is 30 September.

txamin, that is exactly what I am doing right now, right here in the community of people whose opinions I value over any trademag reviewer and over any non-TOG player

I've been in the beta for a few weeks and I definetly think its worth checking out. I'm interested in any MMO that is trying to break the EQ/WoW mold. AA does this by providing more action based combat, less time sinks (such as travel), a deep crafting system, and a non-fantasy based theme which is refreshing.

I can't go into much detail due to the NDA. But, its worth a few bucks just to get into the beta to see if its something you may be interested in upon release.

I'm not in beta, but I found these comments on another forum I visit. For what it's worth..

"It's fun in an arcadish way. Plays like Diablo mixed in with Guild Wars, with a healthy dose of Mad Max and a slight "Fallout" feel. It's brainless fun though and worth looking into..."

Another person commented on AA...
"I agreed to (NDA), so I won't comment on the game itself; suffice to say it will be popular."

Just the fact that there are no elves and dwarves makes it appealing

I've also read somewhere (can't remember exactly) a post from someone who said it needs much tweaking. They were quite upset that, because of the speed of the vehicles, it is easy for one vehicle to scoop all the NPCs, making it impossible for anyone else to finish the mission.
Something about 30 vehicles ping-ponging around in a relatively small confined area at breakneck speed, driving over everything..... (hmm, sounds like fun!)

The game has been delayed to spring 2006 at least, so you have plenty of time to decide.

Yeah it sux that the game was delayed but if that will make it better than yipeeeee. I preordered the game like a month and a half ago. I hope I will get into the closed beta soon so I can give it a whirl.

I watched all the videos at gamespot and the game looks good. I will not however leave Lineage 2 as I have made friends and the peeps are awesome there. I love Lineage 2 but I will fool around with AA when I get the chance.

I have played so many MMOs (10 six, Subspace\Continuum, DAOC, EQ, STWG, AO, Guild Wars, Final Fantasy XIII, Planet Side, City of Heros and Lineage 2)
and it will be nice for a change of pace and run some stuff over

Wouldn't hurt to try it.
