Freelancer
I know this is an older game but it is a fun one, there are many communities to keeping it alive, after Microsoft shut down the global server listing the community made a work around. All the servers are owned and operated by freelancer enthusiast. Many with skills have made modifications to the game to improve graphic art and ad ships from all space games movies and shows.
I currently play on Nightstalkers universe mod on Olympus EU. if you like space sims its a great game. unlike EVE it is a free-flight sim you control the flight and fight of the ship so skill will be required to survive in this game. |

My friend and I really liked this game. It does definitely bring back fond memories as we played and replayed it in the previous years.
Too bad the game is kind of dead with very few active servers left around the world. I did play at this one the last time I played: Archys Portal: News Good if you're in Australia, which I read that this place did start out in. Not sure how it is going now though, still looks to be alive. |
