Hello all,

just wondering if anyone is playing SWG. I miss the game and would like to come back to friendly faces.

I have gone back 3 times since I left with the exodus of NGE / CU...
Each time, I have a blast the first month... buy a bunch of cheap credits and build my town. run around buying stuff to make it completely personalized. Play with the different mineral / chemical -etc harvesters and build weapons... Oh, then I went to fishing... trying to catch the rarest of fish... that was fun for ... meh, a week.
Then it gets back to the general NGE/CU action and my interest goes away... shortly after - I leave.

Interesting enough, I had two accounts when the game originally went live... One was pretty darn high up there... the other was meh.. middle area in lvl. Well, due to the changes, They both are LVL 90 and depending on the background of your original character - either catagorized as a crafting type or a battle type.

Just thinking about it makes me think it would be fun to roam around the landscape... fishing and decorating a large house off on some plateau overlooking a scenic area.
Bah... It is just too darn cookie cutter.

I'm in Rift currently for the simple grind side of non sandbox game play and considering whether to be a test monkey for Earthrise in hopes it generates into a good sandbox... eventually with some back story and a purpose. Nothing like joining at the start and following it to greatness... (wishful thinking though that was DAOC for me... started at the beginning and enjoyed the hell out of the adventure, until TOA and ML's created it into a "who wants to be a superhero and buff bots R us.

Have a good time! I sure enjoy the first month of my wishful prentend SWG is what it was when it was GREAT!

I've been thinking about giving SWG a go - I was a beta tester but never played after launch and considering what happened, that decision seems justified

Still it'd be fun to have a look at SOE's vision of Star Wars, to tide over until the release of SWTOR.

A funny thing happened last weekend - I picked up SWG and played a Jedi to CL22 - then they took The Station offline

Same "funny" thing happened to me too. I've been dying for some space combat so resubbed and days later SOE turned the lights off. Like always my timing is supberb...and I'm still feening for space combat.
