I didnt really know where to post this as there isnt a particular forum for this sort of thing but considering they hold my rpg online games (COX and Guild Wars) i thought this would be the best place.

Never ever mess up your account for Ncsoft as i have and put my account into lock down as unless you hold information that no one can possibly still have after 5 or more years youve had it. This is what they wanted to know from me. I have highlighted all the info i can provide in blue and all the stuff i cant in red.

For your NCsoft account:

*First and last name
*NCsoft Login (if possible)
*Postal address
*Any email addresses you could have used in NCsoft
*Do you still have access to these email addresses?
*Date of Birth
*20-digits Serial codes/25-digit Access keys
*Unique account ID: (This was sent to you via email on the date your game account was activated, with a subject header of “Game Account Activated.”)
*Last 4 digits of the credit card used on your account, if you have used a credit card
*The Unique Transaction ID or Invoice ID from your PayPal® payment history, if you have made payments with PayPal
*The 20-digit code of your Game Time Card, if you used Game Time Cards for your subscription

For your Guild Wars game account, please also provide us with:

*Your Guild Wars account login name
*The creation date of your Guild Wars Account (even if approximate)
*A scan or photograph of the actual insert showing the access keys and the receipts of purchase as “jpg” attachments in a reply to this message

Because i cant give them the info in red they wont unlock my account. To me i think ive provided enough correct info but obviously because of all the Aion hacks im suppose to provide a unique key i was sent 6 years ago and 4 pcs ago which is absoloutlely stupid, and who keeps recipts of games that are 6 years old. If i kept every recipt for everything that old i wouldnt be able to open my front door! So it looks like i will be creating a new account for Guild Wars 2 and just forgetting the games that i have on my account at the moment.

I had to do this recently as well and fortunately I had my keys in my email. But yeah, if you don't have the information, you are pretty screwed.

I might get a bit of luck here i bought all the games on amazon so ive screenshotted my orders, i know they might consider the fact info can be changed but it might be enough that they accept the info. It has enough details to prove i bought the games at least

I use web-based email accounts for such things and basically never delete any of the emails that may contain useful information regarding accounts and similar - my email records go back about 10 years.

While I have not had any issues with my NCSoft account it certainly has been useful to have it in other cases.

Do you remember any names of your Guild Wars characters? They have that as a security question when you login to the game nowadays; it might help your case if you have that.

Cheers Sente, i finally got an email back from Ncsoft saying it was sufficent info to reactivate my account. I think there was a big security update in march and i think thats what the problem was with my details.

As for my guild wars account character names the answer is no however i went back through the TOG forums and did a search on the guild wars forum to find what toon i registered for and voila i found it so now im able to log back into guild wars as of this evening. I thought it might be a good idea to take the oportunity to change all my passwords as well. Ive decided to give GW2 ago when its released as ive heard nothing but good things about it and wanted to add it to this account and have a play about with GW in the mean time. I quite like the mercenary hero idea they have brought in.

In Ncsofts defense they were quick to sort out this problem and helpful so no arguments there, i think sony could probably do with this sort of business attitude right as this moment

I am wondering when Sony is going to send an email to inform that 77 million PSN accounts have been compromised...

That makes two of us Sente i was just thinking that today, however ive already canceled my cards and taken out identity theft protection for a small fee per month, i cant afford to take any chances, i guess none of us can really. My new details stay far away from PSN from now onwards, i wonder how many people do the same thing.
