being banned from an mmo forum?

so i'm in eve for a month and a half. partakein the mining operations on saturdays and convinced a friend who no longer plays to give me his combat and mining toons so i can contribute more and participate in the complex runs with the appropriate character.

so we get into a war, two corps with far more experience than the majority of our current eve players now have free reign to kill us all in any space - secured or not.

after losing a month and a half worth of money accumulated in one night attempting to partake in corp defense since our miners are being camped and inprisoned in our bases i decided that for the time being i cannot financially afford to partake in the pvp part and moved my chars out of the corp until the war was over. i woud still partake in the mining ops and other ops that would help the corp but i would no longer be targettable by the griefers in secured space. i said as such in my post.

so today my rights to read the eve forum - the whole thing - are removed.

my question - does the community feel this is right? i feel like i'm being singled out. honestly they cant lock the forum from the general tog community since toggers from other games are the main source of new players for this corp, so this may be an instance of me being singled out for not wanting to take so many losses the corp wont replace and that will take me a real life month or longer of 18 hour in game days to replace.

Well, where to start with this? To hear your account, you've been grievously wronged indeed. How terrible must the admins be! Or one in particular (me) since I removed your Eve forum rights.

And yet, maybe there's another side. Perhaps there have been a string of complaints about your behaviour in the games you've played with TOG. Maybe you take the games so seriously that you start arguments, insult people, and make the game unpleasant for those that are just trying to have some fun.

Did we remove you from TOG altogether? No. I've been trying really hard to give you a chance, but it's getting more difficult to find reasons to keep you here.

basie, you and i have a problem between the two of us since wow. that's not going to change.

however it has nothing to do with this situation. i talked to carlsberg and this is just his policy it has nothing to do with 'behaviour', nor can you cite any examples of me insulting anyone. i treat everyone in corp with respect and gave a lot to that corp and the wow guild before you ever came to it. i only have a problem with your condescending tone towards me since these wars started last week. i was more than willing to forgive and forget your hypocrisy in the WoW guild when you came to eve but all you did was insult ME...it was not a case of me insulting anyone.

i have asked you once to stop flaming me on these boards, and i'm asking again. as an admin you have no place to be flaming me like you did on the eve boards because i didnt want to take part in the pvp aspect of that game.

where can i find out who the senior admins for the older gamers are?

I'm the most senior admin that you can get Narial. I'm not choosing sides here but it's very clear.

Whether the community agrees or disagrees is basically water under the bridge now. We would not have been in this situation unless the community would have formed a complaint.

The community does not make decisions, leadership does. And leadership will do so based upon community input and feedback.

If the problem is Eve related you should first take it up with Carlsberg being the DC. If you feel you need to talk to an admin you can talk to any admin.

But based upon the feedback provided up to this stage by several people I have so far no reason to disagree with the decision made.
