Anyone playing Gods and Heroes?
Here.
It is currently in Open Beta. The release is scheduled for June 21st, and the head start for pre-orders starts on June 14th. It's not anywhere near finished, but hey, I am sucker for these things. And compared to the current FPS games that give you 5-8 hours of play for 50€, I always get much more out of an MMORPG. |

I was in closed beta and as much as I am a huge fan of everything Ancient Roman - this one is a steaming pile of absolute shit. It makes Alganon look innovative. Its hard to pinpoint exactly what makes it so utterly shit. Either the perpetual night (everytime I logged in for two months it was ALWAYS ****ING NIGHT TIME!!), the game stopping bugs that will CTD everytime you turn around, the dated graphics that belong in EverQuest...1 that is....the heavily featured 'Minion' system that has less innovation/command and control than you had over party members in a D&D Gold Box game from 1992, the fact that two whole classes have been cut from the game - and all the vendors, trainers, loot etc has still been left in the game for them puzzles me a tad......and this is before you get to a lacklustre combat system with animations slower than my grandmother...and she's been dead for 10 years now...
If this was a Free to Play game I'd tell you to not bother....the fact they are charging top dollar for this steaming pile of crap...if I said it astounded me it would be a massive understatement....but then again....how many people STILL fall for Nigerian scams and now Centrelink/ATO scams?? I bet they'll get a few with this turd

Id just like to say i disagree with almost everything in this post. But then again i am one of those people who miss the older MMO's before the wow generation.
As with anything else each person has there own opinion. Me personally i am happy i bought this game, happy to be paying monthly for it, and looking forward to the future of what will come in rome. |
