Yes it looks real, but just don't be expecting a AAA mmo they've come out and said they'd love to do that if someone has a few million to donate but in the menatime they're going to make the best, canonical enthused game they can.

Yea, that pretty much what happens if you try to engage an Atlas within the equivalent of three hexes. Instant DEATH!!

Any old time Battletech gamer, such as myself, would say that if you are going to take a Warhammer up against an Atlas, stay the fuc-ari rug out of its AC20 range, keep up PPC fire and maintain your distance by using cover where available.

At most you might have to deal with LRM20 barrages, but the close range weapons of an Atlas will tear you a new vegimite valley otherwise.

Atlas's are good and all, but for me the last word in 100 tons of death was the TDK-7X Thunderhawk.



Nothing said "This is MY Hill!!!", like taking the high ground with 3 Gauss rifles, delivering 45 points of damage over 22 hexes, in 15 point groups. Dropped many a light mech with that salvo combination.
