Default Star Wars Old Republic Account Lock

So I did Exactly what I was worried I was going to do. And that was getting the security question wrong too many times. I think it was a simple typo but anyway it got my account locked.

Now I have to call support in the US at international call rates... so don't be silly like me. Keep exact copies of your answer on a sticky near the screen.

Or be lucky and have simple easy to remember answers to those terrible canned questions.

Well i did the same thing as you, but my problem was that the question had been a diff one to what i "thought" i selected so once my account was locked i pressed forgot password and it reset my password and i was able to try logging in again which i then realised the question was meant to be a different question and finally got the answer right. hope this helps you Wuffy as i tried to call customer support but was unable to even connect to the numbers provided.

That sucks Wuffy, hope youre not locked out of your account too long. You may have found it already, but if not, here's a link to our TOR forum:

Oh why thank you!
That worked perfectly. I had to reset my password 3 times just to get enough tries again.

I am changing that darned question.

No worries at all, i had to reset mine about 10 times before realizing it was showing the wrong question so answered it as another question i knew i had and then that was right .

Pro Tip: Get one of those security keys they have advertised in the loader program.

Aside from the in-game security key vendor, whom has some nifty stuff, you never have to answer another security question ever again. Just press the button on the key, punch in the number and you are good to go.

Also, fleet passes. 1k credits, free trip to the fleet. 1hr cd I think (not 18 like the emergency one).

Hmmm I was told that you still need to answer the security questions even if you have a Security Key by Customer Support in the States.. it is just regarded as EXTRA security but it does not bypass your 3-5 questions you setup with your account. I also forgot the answer to one of my questions and waited 28 minutes ( long distance but voip so only 5c a min) so it wasnt too bad, only to be told by support that their systems were being updated and to ring back later !!! Which I did and they were fantastic.. I had the right answer but no Capital...

Write it down, i know it's bad practice in business but at home you can stash your "code book" anywhere not just in your desk.

Use a book or buy a pack of miniCDs and create a .txt file with all your relevant details on it or use a couple of microSD's (2 or more because they may fail and store them in a safe, dry place... not the freezer).

If you have a safe or use a safety deposit box you know what you should be storing in there.

SWTOR's Customer Support is in actually Ireland actually, and their officers are generally very nice people once you get to speak to one.
