Slim pick'ins for 2012.

Guild Wars 2 aside, which will be released gawd knows when, I can only see The Secret World/War, worth giving a try. I was going to mention TERA as well, but seeing how the Japanese and Korean releases are going, I don't think that game will be around for long, unless they go the Free-2-Grind route.

Anybody else got a heads up on games to try in '12?

Jagged Alliance online,Dawntide,Archeage.Wether they will be good enough to pull me away from Wurm remains to be seen.
Not MMO but looking forward to the updated Jagged Alliance 2.

It's The Secret World for me, but honestly, this poor jaded gamer only expects to be disappointed. Hopefully I'm wrong!

I think this is going to be a big year, GW2 looks amazing. Can't wait to play that. As for the other games slated for release, I'm not so sure, but one of em may turn out to be better than expected. Oh, and The Old Republic should keep us entertained for at least the first half of the year.

planetside 2, mechwarrior online:mercs,guild wars 2,also heard sony is working on a next gen of eq slated sometime late 2012
ps2 is lookin pretty polished and has started to take beta apps
mwo art looks great and they have been putting out isn blurbs on the site just waiting to see some of the trailers and vids
guildwars 2 is a long awaited title for pvpers
so to me just those 3 titles and possibly eqnext makes 2012 a year of some great stuff

Diablo III redefined the genre before WoW came out. I am looking forward to that release.

Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World are currently the primary ones on my list among games not yet released.

If Dominus and Wildstar may end up being released in 2012 they might join that list.

Aside from that, the only one that even makes me glance away from eve for even a second is Planetside 2.

MechWarrior Online looks interestings, as does World of Battleships. The two for me are NeverWinter (for nostalgia mainly), and WH40k (though this is slated for 2013).

Guild Wars 2 is my goal like many people but yes I don't expect to see it before summer or even later, they only say when its ready. I love ArenaNet's stubborn mentality, makes me feel like they are less likely to be corrupted by the player mafia. Playing TOR but having trouble enjoying it. I thought about TSW and have followed it but their lack of info and how their PVE/PVP balance and separation is going to work has turned me a little cold. That and I went to their PAX after hours party in Seattle last year and man ether they ether got ripped or didn't spend anything. I may just take a sabbatical for a while and work on art, get some exercise, sunlight .... yea I know, see how long that last lol.
