Age of Empires Online

Could not see a thread. Figured I would start one.
Realize the game is 'old' but it just appeared on steam recently.

I'm rather useless at RTS games but have fond LAN memories of aoe2, figured I would give it a shot. Enjoying my time spent so far.
The game is 'free to play' but it's worth getting at least 1 premium civ. Steam are running a great deal at the moment which was due to end today but has now been extended to April 12th.

Main downside (imo) is it uses GFWL. Though once it 'works' it's not the end of the world.

Actually it's pretty new. It was released in August 2011. I loved the original games. Although Age of Mythology was my favorite. This is pretty fun though. I keep meaning to check it out more but always get distracted by other games.

When I say old, More meaning at the current rate games come out it might not be 'flavor of the month' anymore.
Did manage to find an older thread from last year. Added any usertags who were listed in that post. Doubt anyone still plays though.

Oh well. I'll continue to have fun by myself.

I have AoEO, but I've not played much due to TOR and then LotRO, but I should really pick it up again as I enjoyed it.
I'm only little level though, 7 or something perhaps.
